Chapter 896

Isabella's POV

I made sure the food was ready, placing each plate neatly on the dining table. The aroma filled the house, and soon enough, Logan, Dani, and Damien all took their seats.

I cleared my throat, making sure my voice sounded warm and affectionate.

"Damien, I have a surprise for you," I announced, pulling out the movie tickets from my purse. 

I held them up with a bright smile, my voice filled with fake excitement.

"We're going on a movie date today! Just the two of us!"

I expected at least some reaction from him…maybe a smile, maybe even a slight nod.

But Damien?

He just stared at me. His expression was blank, emotionless. He didn’t even look at the tickets. Instead, he kept eating his food, as if I had said nothing at all.

My fingers tightened slightly around the tickets, but I forced myself to keep smiling.
