Chapter 35. Wants/Needs

Valinor

Leiya POV

My eyes suddenly flung open, and so did my mouth. I sat in bed breathing heavily. When I realized that I was in the safety of my chamber of Valinor, I started to breathe slower. I wiped the sweat off my temple, trying to calm my racing heart. There was no doubt that the nightmare I just had was more violent than all the previous ones.

“Another bad dream?”

I heard beside me. I opened my mouth to scream but realized I had suddenly lost my voice. There was only one person that I knew could take a man's voice without lifting a finger. When I realized it was him, I closed my mouth and simply nodded my head.

He came out from the darkness, planting himself beside me on the bed.

“Why aren't you asleep?”
