My head spun with the information. I hadn’t known about the artifact. The thought of Maxine holding that kind of energy inside her, without me knowing, sent a shiver down my spine. Anything could have gone wrong.

"If she still has it then, it should be enough to sustain Liam. If we can channel that energy, we might be able to save him.” Varis completed.
