Carter's POVWhen I look at the paper, all I see is a positive pregnancy result; this is not the first time I've seen a positive result.

I see the expected date of delivery, which is written down in the corner of the paper.

I've had girls fabricate a positive test to steal money from me, but this one stands out as I consider that my brother Cirino can’t call me back for a fake result.

"What does this imply?" My elder brother remains silent and simply uses his eyes to ask my questions while directing them to Thama.

I've been caught, and I'm not sure how I'll get out of this.

"Are you expecting a baby?" I inquire of her, who appears relaxed and unconcerned about her pregnancy.

She responds, "Yes, I am two weeks pregnant," and feels her stomach.

As I walk to my study, I'm not sure what to say; either this sh*t is messed up or I'm a messed up godfather.
