Chapter 16. Terrible Acting
Hazel took out her phone from her pocket, casually tapped on it, then put it back and turned to sit down in front of Delilah.
“Since you’ve brought up this topic, I might as well talk about the rest of it. I came here to have a little chat with you.”
Delilah seemed to hesitate for a moment, but as soon as she met Hazel’s eyes, her attitude immediately returned to her usual self.
“Repeat what you just said. I almost thought I didn’t hear you right. So, in your eyes, what you did seems completely justified, doesn’t it?”
Delilah was no longer as polite as before, her expression filled with disdain.
