Chapter 41. As Boring as Ever
The young girl trembled, about to explain, but Delilah interrupted her.
“Don’t be nervous, it’s just some work-related matters I need to discuss with you. Come with me, I’ll explain in detail.”
With that, she turned and walked toward a more secluded corridor, and the girl had no choice but to follow.
When they reached a stairwell, their voices echoed in the empty space, so Delilah lowered her tone.
“Don’t worry, I didn’t hear anything you said earlier. But you need to do something for me.”
“What is it?”
“Keep an eye on Damon Price. You need to report to me immediately on anything that happens, especially anything related to Hazel. If you know anything, tell me right away.”
The girl was frozen for a long moment, unable to speak. Asking her to keep an eye on the CEO was almost like signing her own death warrant. Now, she had two choices: offend the CEO’s wife or offend the CEO. Both options seemed equally dangerous.
