Chapter 21
Kaito was helping Imani exercise, hoping it would help recover her memory as soon as possible.
She sat on the floor and stretched her fingers to touch her toes.
“Akiko is going to your cousin’s this evening?” Imani asked.
“Yeah, weren’t you there when she took permission from our ma and pa?”
“Oh.” Imani stretched more. “I saw her bags nicely packed on her bed. She’s pretty organized for a child, I was impressed.”
“Our man instilled good morals in us.” Kaito orated. “What or who is the Trinox, the name you called that evening Hinata came to apologize?”
Imani’s mood dampened. “I don’t know, I can’t remember why I said that.”
Kaito scrolled through the channels of the television, looking for something that’d pique his interest. After Imani had said she couldn’t remember what she meant by the Trinox, he had given her some walnuts to snack on and left her on the rug.
