Chapter 23
The next two hours of my day were spent answering questions about a variety of topics with Daring while he took note of my answers. By the end of the whole ordeal, I felt rather stupid because I knew very little about a majority of the topics.
“That is the end of our assessment,” Daring said as he closed his notebook.
“Her lack of education is apparent,” Jormun commented.
“Is it truly that bad?” I asked Daring.
“It is much better than mine was when I first came to Jormun,” Daring said reassuringly.
“You were also a child then, though…” I commented.
“Do not be so hard on yourself, Villi,” Jormun told me. “Even though you are lacking in knowledge, I can tell that you possess a high level of intellect.”
