Chapter 27

Andra awoke me the next morning with more energy than usual. She had had the other servants replace my bed last night as if it was nothing more than another mundane daily chore. I was not sure what I had been expecting as a response from her following the aftermath of the day before, but having a cheery disposition toward me was not something I considered.

“Why are you in such a good mood this morning?” I finally asked her after watching her run around my room with such high levels of energy.

“Master informed me this morning that your clothing is to be delivered today,” she revealed.

“That was fast,” I responded. I thought about it for a moment and tried to determine if I was as excited as I should be to be receiving a new wardrobe. “How many items did he order?” I asked.

“Enough to fill in your walk-in closet, miss,” Andra smiled as she pointed to the door that sat on the far side of the room.
