Chapter 77

I sent Andra way once we arrived at my bedroom. Renard seemed to be in a state that was a mixture between tense and excited.

“I… don’t know what to do,” he confessed, clearly embarrassed.

I laughed lightly. “No need to jump into things,” I reassured him. “How about we watch some television together and just enjoy each other’s company?” I offered.

He nodded his head.

We sat down next to each other on the couch in my room and I turned on the television. We decided to watch a news station that was talking about the upcoming gala, as well as the other events being hosted by the High Arts Society.

“We will be attending all of them?” Renard asked.

“I don’t know yet,” I shook my head.

We sat together and watched television for several minutes. I started to become a bit annoyed with the fact that the fox was not trying to touch me or anything like he usually did.

I looked over at him, and my annoyance melted away. “You are anxious?”
