Chapter 84

At lunchtime, I sat in the dining room with Renard, Daring, and Jormun. I was pleased to see the three men interacting with each other in a civil manner. I noticed that Jormun was also in a better mood than usual.

“I have something I need to discuss with you guys,” I said once our food arrived.

“I am all ears, my queen,” Jormun said with a soft smile.

I suddenly felt guilty about the fact that I was about to ask them if they would be okay with Killian being my date at the gala.

“Oh… um…” I stuttered, suddenly flustered as the three of them looked at me expectantly. “Killian informed me that he has my invitations for the upcoming events being hosted by the High Arts Society. He requested that I meet up with him for another date, but I thought that maybe he could just be my date to the gala instead?” I asked.

“I thought I was going to be your date?” Renard pouted.

“I honestly would prefer it if the fox took you as we first planned,” Daring sighed.
