Chapter 54. The Threat of Liam Weld
As I was putting away the tea sets, my phone rang. I took a look who it was, and suddenly got shivers down my spine. I wasn't able to excuse myself to Marcela, and just ran up back to the bedroom.
"What do you want?" Back in the bedroom, I got on the phone and held my cell phone. I was still trembling.
A calm low laugh came from the other end of the line, "Ivelle, what are you nervous about? If there was nothing wrong with you, why can't I visit you?"
I hated Liam's gloomy smile. As I bit my lip, I said, "Liam, we were young and immature back then, but we all have our own lives now. I beg you, leave us alone!"
He gave me hell, and I didn't want that to ever happen again.
"Ivelle, we are brother and sister, how can I let you leave me? Without you, my life alone is not life. I need you!" Obviously, what he said could melt other people's heart as it sounded so sweet, but the words that came out his mouth were cold and pure lies.
