I blink my eyes rapidly, feeling the tears want to overwhelm me, but I don't want to cry right now.

"Do you think he'll ever let me go back to my house and my life again?", I ask in a low tone, seeing the security guard sigh and still look at me.

"I don't have the answer to your question, girl. I don't know what's going to happen, but even though I don't know you, I want you to know that I want you to get what you want.", he says, and a smile appears on my lips.

Now that it's evening Lorenzo hasn't arrived yet, and I'm having dinner with Ava at the moment, I raise my head to see that she's looking at me with a serious expression on her face.
