Chapter 99. Preparing
Rage paced within the underground Creep, pondering on his moves. His eyelids were closed shut and his eyes fluttered within. At intervals, the concentric lines around his face, glowed iridescent. At intervals, he made chuckling noises or growling ones. It did not matter to him because he was not physically present in his body, and yet he was. It was a juxtaposition of sorts. One that confused anyone who happened to see him.
After a while, he stopped and opened his eyes, letting out a long drawn-out sigh. "It is done."
At first, he stared unblinking at his surroundings, still trying to focus and be in the present. The things he saw in his mind were still festered tightly to his consciousness, so it took him a few seconds to sever their grasp. A few seconds later, he looked around him and smiled grimly. His black eyes glowed with an otherworldly appearance, taking on a sheen that made them look light grey.
