Anneliese glared at me and immediately entered the car that passed in front of us.

Kris just held his forehead.

"Believe me or not, I don't tell my daughter anything about the past. Because the truth is, Audrey is the one telling the story to her sister. I told them that that was not the real story... but, I don't know. I can't convince them to believe in my version."

“Let it go, Kris. The time will come when your children will also understand our situation." I forced my smile as I waved my hands at her. He got into the car and then left.

Now I know why I feel uncomfortable talking to Anneliese. I already noticed that since I attended her birthday party last year, she was always acting rude to me. I used to think that was how he behaved, but to other people, he was easy to talk to and kind. It's just not mine.

And it's all because of the past... in which he actually thought that I had been attached to Henrix before.
