Chapter 99. The Arrest
After they called the police on me, Alessandra did not even bother to ask or order her men to ask why I had chosen to penetrate her mansion and take her life. I guess she is not interested in those details, and all she cares about is seeing me go to prison.
This is another level of pain for me, though. At least if she had done that, I would know there is still a part of her that cares about me and that she just could not help but talk to me. But no!
This makes me reflect on my betrayal of her. Have I really betrayed her trust to the extent that she can never forgive me?
