After lighting some candles at the church, she and Jonas decided to attend the mass, and afterward, they went to Colonnade Supermarket to buy a roasted chicken for dinner. “Maybe we should cook some noodles for long life,” she suggested that they should prepare a noodle dish like bam-e or bihon guisado.

“Sure. I’ll get the ingredients then,” he said and proceed to the supermarket to buy the ingredients for their noodle dish.

He may not know it yet because it was seldom that she would cook for a meal, but Catherine knew a dish or two from her mother and Aunt Sabina. Catherine waited for Jonas at the roasted chicken station while he was at the counter to pay for the groceries.

“Can we grab something to eat on our way home? I’m already hungry,” she said.
