Chapter 23

While I was staring at the screen, my tears began to fall again so I decided to go back to bed and sleep. I hoped that when I woke up I wouldn't feel that much pain. The pain is double because I know that I have done something wrong to Jake.

I curled up on the bed as I kept thinking about what I should do. When my brain is tired from thinking, I know I can sleep too, but somehow I'm the other way around I'm still not sleepy.

I took a deep breath before standing up and carrying my wallet I walked out of my room. I would consider it a miracle that I didn't see Jacob outside, or even when I came downstairs. The silence of the thing is also strange so I immediately si looked through the window to see if his car was outside. When I noticed that there was nothing, I just shrugged my shoulders and then went to the door.

When I left the house, I saw some of the neighbors and they were doing their own thing, and that's what I really like about our subdivision. I don't think Marite
