Chapter 51

We spent the whole day cleaning the cottage, arranging the furniture, and tending the backyard with a small garden for herbs and spices. After sunset, Jake invited me to drink coffee on the balcony. Since the cottage is in an uphill location, the balcony is a perfect place to watch the sunset together.

"I missed doing this with you," he suddenly mentioned the time we spent together before when we traveled together to watch the most beautiful sunset.

"Let's ride?" I hinted that we should explore the area for a while. He smiled at me, and again, I was under his charm. Did I just let his brother touch me because I missed Jake so much? I bit my bottom lip when I realized it was.

Jake agreed, and soon we were on the road and headed for the nearest beach. When it came to driving, he was fast and I had to hold him tight.

I really missed the bonding we used to have and throughout the trip with my husband, I regretted giving myself to Jacob. I regret everything!
