Chapter 66

Not Ready

Zeke held my arm out. He held me as lightly as a piece of paper as if he didn't want to hurt me. My heart crumpled even more.

We were in front of his car when William stopped.

"Catalena." I turned to her and smiled bitterly. Zeke and I looked at each other.

Ezekiel took a deep breath and released me.

"Get inside my car," William said to me. I followed what he said. He talked to Zeke for a few minutes outside. I couldn't take my gaze away from Zeke.

After those years, I've changed a lot. I've learned so many things. I am still amazed and innovative. Maturity is indeed based on experience. And in my experiences, my consciousness of all this grew spontaneously.
