“Riley… Please… Please speak to me, how are we going to make it out of here alive… I know it’s difficult but please try, I know you’re weak already and you can’t rise but please fight… Please fight back, if not for yourself but for your mate and the kids… Please.” I whispered but got no response, the little hope that had sprang forth shriveled and I exhaled deeply, placing my head on the wall.

I decided to resign to my fate, knowing it’d be impossible for Xavier to find me.

I stared into space, unable to think about anything but my impending doom.

Would I ever survive this? Would I get to see Xavier or regain my memories? What about mom? How is she feeling? What about Xavier and the kids?

Thinking about them made my heart weak, there was a feeling of longing and need inside of me, I could tell that it was Riley’s way of expressing her emotions, especially the way she hadn’t been able to see her mate and pups for days and I exhaled deeply.<
