Chapter 40

I spend the next hour trawling through every little thing that remains on Dad's account, but there's nothing else of interest to be found. I also do a quick Google search of the names on the list but, even then, I find little to no extra information. It's like when the kids went missing, the town put out the initial distress signal and then moved on with their lives. Forgot about them.

The strangest thing, though, is that there are no mentions at all of Sarah Miller disappearing. So either she was never reported missing, or...

Or what? She never existed? I know that's not possible. My dad wasn't crazy. If he says Sarah Miller existed, then she damn well existed. Iris is the one hiding something. And I intend to find out what - and why. Why in the hell someone wouldn't report their missing daughter to the police? If she did, and the police just did nothing about it.

Mum and Dad would've moved Heaven and Earth if anything ever happened to Eli or me. Even on our worst day
