After Matteo saw how his father handled the case, his confidence soared and he grew worse. He would deliberately look for people's trouble and then threaten them with his father if they dared to talk or tried to retaliate. Some of these people were a lot older than he was. And most were his father's men or their children. Before long, Jessie joined him and the two became very notorious. From mere bullying kids at school, they began to steal and destroy.

The first time a classmate of Jessie had accused him of stealing his notebook, Elio had joined his brothers in beating up the boy for accusing one of them wrongly. But as they played in the house later that day, Jessie had brought the book out for them to make flying airplanes and other monogamy with it.
