Chapter 72
Blessing was trying to get some sleep when the owner of the building that her friend, Mandy lived in came for the first time since she arrived. He barged past Mandy into the flat, into the kitchen, and observed the tap, looking at it with an eyes filled with worry.
“What is wrong?” Blessing asked, trying to calm herself down and trying to justify the action of the owner.
“I am sorry,” the landlord apologized. “I thought I heard something strange coming from your kitchen. I just came here to check it. I wanted to be sure that I wasn’t wrong in my judgement.”
“Are you feeling well?” Mandy asked the same question she had asked the man the last time he had barged into her apartment when Blessing was not around.
“Yes!” The landlord moved his head awkwardly. “You don’t have to worry about me. I am doing fine.” After he left, Blessing asked, “How often does he barge into your apartment like an insane man who has lost his mind?”
