Melanie’s POV
“See you next week!” I called out, beaming as I wiped a bead of sweat from my brow. My Zumba crew trickled out of the studio, still giggling from my slightly off-beat turns. I’ll never be a pro, but hey, the ladies loved it—and I loved any excuse to shake it like nobody’s watching.
“Did we miss the grand finale?” A deep, familiar voice rumbled from the doorway. I whipped around, half-expecting an audience of strangers—only to find my two favorite guys leaning against the frame.
I couldn’t help myself: my grin spread to ear-to-ear as I practically sprang forward. I scooped Theo into my arms, planted a noisy raspberry on his cheek, and inhaled his giggles like sweet perfume. “Hey, handsome,” I purred. (Was “handsome” too much? Too little? Who cared—sonically, it was delightful.)
“What have you been up to, Mel?” Asher’s voice was slow and amused, like gravel warmed by sunlight.
