I jangled my keys in the lock, only to realize I’d somehow acquired Asher’s house key along with mine. Seriously, had he slipped it onto my keychain as stealthily as a cat burglar? One minute I was fumbling for my own key, the next I was unlocking his door like a pro. Whatever—point for team “My Mate Has My Back.” (And my keys.)
