Alpha Kanen’s POV

I stood alone in the woods, hurt and in pain. I was struggling with conflicting emotions. This is what I wanted, I wanted to be respected again. I want my enemies to see me as powerful again. But not like this.

Not hurting the people I am protecting. My actions today had left me in a state of disarray. As I began to pace in the woods, grappling with the darkness within me, the guilt and frustration filled my soul.

Just as I was battling with my mind, I heard footsteps. I became alert, trying to figure out where the steps were coming from.
