Rose’s POV

As he stepped back, I rushed to the door, trying to turn the doorknob. But before I could escape, he reached me and slammed the door shut. His eyes turned red, and his voice took on a dreadful tone.

“Do you wish to die?” He went further, to grab my hair, and forcefully, he pulled me towards the door.

“No! No!!…you are hurting me. Please, stop!” I pleaded while trying to release my hair from his strong grip.

But all my pleas fell on deaf ears as he continued to threaten me. “I will kill you…No! I have a better idea. Jacklin can have you. Tomorrow I’ll send for Jacklin. And he will be pleased to suck your blood.” He taunted and started laughing spitefully.

Hearing those words, my heart skipped a beat. I knew Alpha Kanen, in his right mind, would never utter such threats. He loved his babies and that was when I knew that there was a problem, and fear consumed me.
