Rose’s POV
After all Kanen had told me, I couldn’t help but remember the first time I met General Ham.
It was one of those days at the palace when the breeze in the palace was cool. The council was deep in discussions about strategies and security measures, but I wasn’t a part of that meeting.
Instead, I was on my way to the gardens, a quiet place I often visited to clear my mind. I enjoyed the fresh air and the vibrant colors of the flowers. It was a peaceful escape from the palace’s constant activity.
As I walked through the corridor leading to the gardens, I heard a voice. It was low and urgent, coming from one of the side rooms. Curiosity got the better of me, and I slowed my pace, inching closer to the door that was slightly open.
