I looked at my reflection in the mirror while humming softly to myself. I was wearing a mint green sundress, and a denim jacket over it, and although I have short black hair, it has never been very interesting to style, and I have no plans to change that.
I have finally decided to go ahead and register my business with the government today, and I had been keeping my fingers crossed that I would win the contract against Julio Lauren next week. When I thought about how my plans had been carried out bit by bit, I couldn't help but smile.
I gave my wristwatch a quick peek and saw that it was already nine in the morning. I dashed out of the room, through the front door of the house, and into the waiting taxi that I had called a short while earlier. I climbed into the back passenger’s seat and told the driver to drive off.
