‘‘No…’’ Julio shook his head in fear, his eyes getting wider as he looked at me. ‘‘No!’’

He was screaming repeatedly as he hastened away and started sprinting in the direction of the exit gate, as if he saw a ghost.

My eyes became gloomy as I gritted my teeth and turned away before taking a step forward, reaching out to touch the tombstone of my mother.

‘‘Mom, did you see that?’’ I wiped a single tear that escaped my eye. ‘‘Did you see how your ex-husband treated me in front of you? He doesn’t love me at all. He never really cared for me…’’

I took a few deep breaths and calmed myself before standing straight.
