Dinner was served in an atmosphere that was both magnificent and harmonic as we began eating. However, I could see that Brylee was faking her grin, and I detected a trace of hostility in the covert manner in which she was staring at me.

‘‘Sir, Madam... Mr. Lauren is here!’’ Suddenly, a servant came over and informed everyone that Julio had arrived.

What the hell was Julio Lauren doing here?

At that precise moment, my hand which was grasping the fork paused, and shortly thereafter, my fingers began to shake.

The next instant, two men approached the dining table, and everyone stood up to greet them, with the exception of Sebastian and me.

‘‘What's up, Julio? It has been quite some time!’’ William was the one who initially greeted him, and then Olivia dashed over to join in.

‘‘Dad, Allen!’’ Brylee bent over to give Julio a hug, who was sitting down in a wheelchair, while Allen was standing behind, pushing the disabled old man.
