I was walking down the hallways aimlessly and staring at nothing in particular as I made my way to my classroom when I caught a glimpse of Jake's back as he entered Coach Brown's office. ''Jake!'' I tried to call him, but he seemed as though he didn't hear me, since he ignored me, as he closed the door once he entered inside.

I quickened my pace, walking straight towards the office, glancing around if someone was checking on me, and when I didn’t see anyone, I continued walking.

Why did I have to feel guilty anyway? Everyone in the school was aware that Jake and I were cousins, so I didn't have anything to worry about. I can do whatever I want without worrying about anything.
