Chapter 284. Peace Offering

I was unable to fall asleep.

During dinner, I overheard Melanie complaining to her friends about how bothersome it was to have the Dean and several instructors monitoring our floor. Considering how they shared the room next to mine, I immediately put two plus two together and realized that fucking Jake was going to be sleeping just a few feet away from me, every single night throughout the entire span of a week.

This was such a pure torture for me! I was trying to forget him, but here he was getting closer to me again!

In reference to Melanie, she couldn’t stare directly into my eyes each time I accidently walked up through her or met her. Nonetheless, it seemed as though she was always wanting to say something to me, and although I was waiting for her to do so, I have no idea why she didn’t.

I needed to vent, to yell or scream. Because of Jake!

I forced myself to sit up and cast a quick peek at Stef. She had fallen asleep in a heap on th
