‘‘Seb!’’ A sound suddenly emerged out of nowhere, which served to break the eerie silence that had been prevailing. Sebatian's sister Cynthia walked over to us with a grin on her face and looked up at her brother. ‘‘I was looking for you upstairs…’’ she said with a smile. ‘‘I thought you were still dressing up. Dad is also looking for you…’’

‘‘Where’s dad?’’ Sebastian asked, and he didn’t remain for much longer. But just before he left, he glanced thoughtfully at me in a way that sent shivers down my spine.

‘‘Cynthia!’’ Brylee made a move toward her in an attempt to give her a hug, but she pulled back and examined her thoroughly from head to toe.

‘‘Mom is looking for you, too…’’ she said, rolling her eyes at my sister.

‘‘Oh, okay…’’ Brylee put on a happy face and pretended as though she hadn't noticed how Cynthia was behaving towards her.

‘‘Two-faced hypocrite!’’ the young woman stuck out her tongue at Brylee after the latter turned around
