Chapter 8. Fairytale
POV: Shea Vestine
The cold breeze blew as it kissed her fair white skin – but her attention was focused only on the man who was seriously looking at her. She took one step after the other as she heard the slight rustling of dried leaves under her feet.
Every member of the pack was present except for her stepfather, Leandro, and stepsister, Lexi. After that painful argument with them that night, she had not seen them in the house anymore. Her mother told her that Lexi was with her friends and Leandro was out with the hunters. With that, she thought that Leandro would be out for a few days – five at most – which was a better thing for her.
However, despite the hurtful arguments that they had that night, she felt a bit sad that it had to end that way. She didn’t want to hurt anyone of them, but she also needed to talk… to stand for herself and defend herself at least.
