Chapter 159
Freya’s POV
The thing with book shelves at this school; they assume that their students being high ranking wolves with larger body builds would need taller shelves to accommodate their body structure.
They made the right assumption, yes. But I in no way benefit from it, being almost a midget compared to everyone else.
I jump to reach the book that is on the top shelf.
There’s no stool or ladder in sight, so I attempt to reach it on my own, standing on my tippy toes and leaping to grab it.
I’m almost there, I almost grab it.
But then, I feel a presence behind me, and a hand reaches out and grabs the book easily before I can.
My brain screams at me not to look back but I don’t listen and do just that.
I turn back and then, look up at Silas who has followed me for goddess knows why. His larger body frame towers over me and leans towards me, while he hangs the book I need over me, gesturing for me to take it.
