Freya’s POV

He does not answer. The silence from him is ominous.

“Get closer to him and I will tell you when the time is right.”

“What if I don’t want to?” I glare at him now.

If he could be stubborn and vague about what he wants, then I would show him how much of a pushover I’m not.

His smile fades slowly.

“If you don’t return your end of the bargain, you lose this new life you’ve made for yourself. The Alpha finds out you’ve faked your scent which is a crime punishable by death and your entire family will be executed.”
