Silas’s POV
“Silas!”
I swerve the other direction, coming face to face with Elena. A deep frown on her face that doesn’t compliment her one bit.
“I’ve been trying to get your attention!” She begins whining.
“What?” I drawl tiredly.
I’m already exhausted by whatever she’s going to say to me.
“I saw something out there during the run.”
I raise my brow at her now.
“It looked like a smaller wolf, much too small to be any of the students here.”
“A rogue?”
“Not quite.”
“Maybe you saw a deer and mistook it as something else.”
She frowns at me now, folding her hands below her chest in a stance to say that she’s upset.
I sigh.
“Look, whatever you’re implying isn’t possible with the tight security, especially since the last time. Unless it’s some rogue trying to break into pack territory, it’s probably a bear cub or something else.”
“I know what I saw.”
“Did you see it up close?”
