Lilly’s POV
“Seriously?” I snapped at Ria, barely able to keep my voice steady as we hurried through the hallways of the packhouse. My heart pounded in my chest, each footstep echoing my anxiety. “Your brother is going to kill you if he finds out you lied to him.”
She just crossed her arms, raising one perfectly arched eyebrow in that infuriating, knowing way that made her seem older than her years. “Should I have told him you’re pregnant—with his pups?” she shot back, her voice dripping with sarcasm and just a hint of protectiveness. “That would’ve gone well.”
Her words hit me like a tidal wave, crashing straight through my attempt at composure. My hand instinctively drifted to my abdomen, the gesture as natural as breathing. It felt so real now—the doctor had confirmed it. Three pups. Three impossibly strong Alpha pups were growing inside me.
