Summer POV

I didn’t like the glint in his eyes and the smirk that spread on his face. I was tempted to take a step back, but the last thing to show an Alpha was fear.

He reached out and stroked the bump from when I head-butted Nolan. I was stunned by his openness. I stepped back, keeping my attention on him.

“You’ve been here less than an hour and you’ve already gotten into trouble, how amusing. But it matches your reputation. I’ve heard you’re a handful.”

“Where did you hear that from?” I gasped.

He took a step closer. So close I could smell Katrina’s expensive perfume on his trousers. I grimaced.

“From Ollie and Vance. I’m sure you remember them.”

My eyes turned to saucers. How could I forget the man who nearly kidnapped me? It felt like a lifetime ago. Ezra and I have been through so much since then. Ollie grabbed me as I left the bar at night. Ezra beat him. That night, we also shared our first kiss.
