The endless black color seemed to darken the whole space. The stone array that carried her was like a loyal horse and moved forward stably to the position several meters away from the fortress.

Her space uniform was covered by dusk, and that was the mark of the gunfire. Her helmet was distorted because of the crash. Her pure face under that thin helmet was the only light of the space, like a beam of bright moonlight in the night that lit up Patrick’s eyes.

Patrick felt that all the other people had disappeared in his eyes, and he could only see her standing quietly like a magnet attracting all his attention. Her face was still pretty, and she was looking at him gently and firmly, with her eyes shining more brightly than ever.
