Ava made provisions for a room for us. Meanwhile, Damien made sure I ate after we got to the room until I was full, and Brian left after informing me that my mother, Susan, was there.

Turns out he caught her just when she was about to expose the truth about my secret to the press, and he had taken her hostage. He couldn’t send her back to jail to avoid unnecessary attention. So instead, he took her to a mental hospital and declared her insane.
