Chapter 108. Her over Everything

I froze as I looked at Ava. What was she trying to do? What was her motive?

Damien seemed to freeze beside me as he looked at Britney. His eyes darkened before his gaze fell back on me.

“What!” I blurted out.

“Why?” I asked Ava, and before I could say another word, Britney stepped forward, but Ava stopped her.

“I have wronged my daughter, and maybe this is the only way I can make it up to her. I can make her happy,” Ava said, and I frowned.

“I’m not your daughter, too,” I whispered, and she shook her head.

“No, you are my baby, it’s just that…” she tried to say, and I stepped back.

“You would sentence me to depression and Britney to a loveless marriage just because you want to satisfy her,” I snapped at her, and her eyes widened.
