Chapter 139. Britney's Revenge
No words were said as the car drove off; the children were still sleeping. I could feel the tension in the air between Ava and me, and I wasn’t intending to be the one who broke the silence.
“I hope you're okay,” she said, breaking the silence.
“I’m good. How did you know that we would be at the bench?” I asked, and she looked at me.
“I didn’t. My men grabbed Britney and met me here. I would call it luck,” she said, and just then the baby started crying in her arms.
“She’s beautiful,” she whispered, and I smiled.
“She looks like you when you were a child,” she said as the tension became more intense. I looked at her, and we held eye contact for a while before I looked away.
“Ariana, I’m sorry, please,” she begged, and I looked away from her.
