Chapter 139
I shift myself around to his head and roll him back onto his back, jamming my hands under his shoulders until I can lift him a little, but he weighs a ton, and his head flops back onto the floor. It's awkward, but I manage to get his head onto my lap first, then try again by lifting him, shuffling forward to get my knees under his shoulders, and start trying to lift him to sit. Bryan is a big guy, and even though he’s lean and muscular, he still weighs about four of me.
My mom seems to click on what I am doing, still taking direction from her call handler, and turns her cell to the speaker to lay it down before assisting me in hauling Bryan up, but he's a dead weight and so out of consciousness it’s like moving a sack.
