She knew how much they cared about each other, but they were both too proud to show it.

“I’ll try.” Linford’s shoulders slumped.

“Good,” Cristelle took a look at her watch, “I gotta go.”

“So soon?” Linford tried to stop her, “Why don’t you stay with me for a while?”

“I don’t think so. Fritzi’s still waiting,” Cristelle grabbed the file and was ready to go, “I’m going back home soon. The babies must have come back. I need to spend more time with them.”

Linford had known that Cristelle went to Jasper’s studio today. He didn’t like it, but he also didn’t show disgust. “I’ll send a driver to drive you back home later.”

Cristelle nodded and walked out of the door. When Cristelle disappeared at the end of the corridor, Lana showed up. She hadn’t left even though she was pushed out of the office. She had been eavesdropping on their conversation.

Lana tried to hide it, but the jealousy in her eyes was so dense. It could barely be disguised.
