Cody suddenly recalled some old memories.
“Farming is great. It can be a bit tough sometimes. But at least it’s their own.” He remembered when he was living in that small town with his Mom and Candace. They had so much fun even though they were not rich back then. And Candace had been taken away by that kidnapper back then, causing her some trauma.
Thea shrugged, “It’s not bad.”
Things would have been perfect if those punks had left them alone.
Cody wanted to tell Thea to lower her standards and find a boyfriend as soon as possible. But the conversation suddenly summoned his sad memories.
So he asked, “It will be Thanksgiving day two days later, right? We should go back to my parents.”
Thea nodded, saying yes.
