Chapter 27. Chris's Pseudo Feelings

"SLAP" A slap landed on Maria's cheek. She held one of her cheeks which Chris slapped.

Chris's breath was hunting to hold back his anger earlier. Arriving home, Maria tried to convince Chris that it was all in the past between her and Brad. And Dawn tries to destroy their marriage by bringing up her past again, which makes Chris not accept it when Maria says terrible things about his father.

Chris doesn't care about Maria's past, who was once Brad's mistress, and he is angry at Dawn at first for revealing Maria's history in front of Brad and George, who are strangers. Chris thought this was a family matter and his father shouldn't involve strangers. Chris understood what his father meant so he could see Maria's accurate figure, but everyone has a past. So did Maria.
