Chapter 62. Excuses
‘Yeah. Lisa is still asleep. I will check on her first. If she sleeps well, you can come here so I can leave.’
‘Sure,’ I said and waited for a while.
Then I heard Nate’s voice again in my mind. ‘It’s good. Let’s switch places.’
I walked without sound to somewhere near my room. I looked around my surroundings. No one was there. It was still three a.m. So naturally, everyone was still asleep. I let out a small sigh, waiting for Nate to leave my room. Then he walked out the door. His face was gloomy. There were black shadows below his eyes.
We said nothing and only nodded to each other. Then I entered my room, stripped my shirt and trousers, and lay beside Lisa. She moved a little and hugged me. I could feel she wore nothing as her body was behind me, spooning me. Her hand touch
